Fresh ingredients, simple accessible food and
a fun environment.
Fuel Bistro, which opened in 1998, is set amongst
an array of classic automotive marques such as Aston Martin,
MG, Volvo, and Peugeot. But fine cars is not what makes this
eatery rated one of Sydney's 60 best restaurants (SMH Good Food
Guide 2003), it is the fine cuisine, excellent service and relaxed
atmosphere
Andy Bunn, the Head Chef at Fuel, trained in
Europe and brought his extensive international restaurant experience
to Australia in 1995. Having worked in Lynwood Cafe and Osteria
Moana, Andy was appointed Head Chef of Fuel Bistro in August,
2002.
The menu changes constantly and is based on
simple Italian. The freshest ingredients from the markets are
utilised
In a recent review Mathew Evans the respected
Sydney Food Critic wrote; "Cracking food is served in the casual
ambience of a Surry Hills stayer. When Andy Bunn nails a dish,
the results are magic"
