During that time the City Crown has become a favourite of the Gay and Lesbian Traveller returning to experience the night life of the Darlinghurst area. One of Oxford Street's favourite Bars, the Columbian is only a 3 minute walk away.
At any time the gay and lesbian clientele accounts for about 50% of guests and over peak Gay Times such as the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras the hotel is almost 100% Gay.
Darlinghurst and Surry Hills are inner city suburbs of Sydney that are renown for Cafes, Restaurants, Bars and boutique fashion outlets.
